i’m becoming more and more process-driven as time goes on, attempting to use intent and ritual in a more focused and directed way to emphasize meditation on the subject.  paper becomes a representationof the psyche with drawings on top depicting abstracted thought. 

as stems and flower petals undulate through the surface, it speaks to both a physical and an emotional texture. as some things come to the front and are processed emotionally, they are at any moment able to flake off and remove themselves, leaving only a scar where they once were. 

others, however, remain completely obfuscated; only visible from their shadow and projection of light to the surface. 

now irremovable, these things are built into the fabric of being.
